Don’t go a day without the survival food you need.
The company that does the food for my college is ripping us off. At the beginning of the year, you purchase your meals for the year in bulk. You can also add "flex dollars" to your account to buy meals or candy, etc. At my school, you can eat in the cafeteria and use one of your pre-purchased meals for that. However, we also have a sandwich shop, burrito joint, and Asian food place. These places are also run by the company that does the cafeteria. If I did not want to eat at the cafeteria, I could go to the sandwich shop and exchange a meal for a sandwich. However, say I miss breakfast and am very hungry for lunch and want to get two sandwiches and therefore use two meals. They will not let you do this and the meal is consequently lost and can never be used again.
It just seems wrong to me that the company thinks they can tell you when you are to eat your meals and if you don’t eat them when you’re supposed to, well you just lost money. It is almost like theft. They are providing no service and taking your money for it.
You do not get the money back for meals you never used. If you didn’t actually consume a product and you are being charged for it, isn’t that wrong.
Sorry if this seems like a rant but it just really pisses me off.
